Episode 40: Can a Women Serve in the Role of Pastor?

Aug 20, 2026    Matt Rummage, Andrew Patrick, Noah Estes

In this episode of Redefined, we take a deeper look at the question: Can a woman serve in the role of pastor?

We address some of the most common modern-day objections and questions surrounding this topic while seeking to answer them through the authority of Scripture. Rather than allowing culture, personal preference, or popular opinion to define the conversation, we go back to God's Word to understand His design for men, women, leadership, and the local church.

This conversation is about understanding the roles God has established and trusting His wisdom. We walk through the biblical evidence and wrestle with the difficult questions that have led to so much debate within the church.

Ultimately, every believer is in need of the grace of God, and every believer is commanded to share what that grace has done in their lives. The call to make disciples and proclaim the Gospel is not limited to pastors. However, in this conversation, we are specifically focusing on the biblical role and qualifications of a pastor/elder within the local church and what Scripture teaches about who is called to serve in that role.

Our goal is simple: to let Scripture speak for itself. Join us as we seek to approach this important topic with humility, grace, and a commitment to biblical truth.
