Day 2: Handling Conflict God's Way

Reading: Matthew 18:15-20; Matthew 5:23-24

Devotional: Conflict is inevitable, but how we handle it reveals whose kingdom we truly serve. When disagreements arise, our natural instinct is self-protection, being right, and winning. But the gospel calls us to something radically different: reconciliation over reputation, humility over victory.

Before you share your grievance with ten people, go directly to your brother or sister. Before you worship, reconcile. The circle of people involved should never be greater than the offense itself. This isn't weakness—it's the strength of Christ working through you.

Ask yourself today: Am I trying to handle my conflicts without Jesus? Are my actions reflecting the gospel I claim to believe? God has given you His wisdom and His Spirit. Seek reconciliation, not vindication. Choose peace over being right. This honors Christ and protects the witness of His church.
