Day 5: Living as God's Family

Reading: Ephesians 4:1-6, 25-32; 1 John 3:1-3

Devotional: You are part of God's family—a family of washed, sanctified, and justified children. This identity changes everything about how we relate to one another. When conflict arises, we don't run to the world for solutions; we handle it within the family in ways that honor our Father.

Being family means we bear with one another, forgive one another, and speak truth in love. It means your brother's reputation matters as much as your own. It means you'd rather be cheated than bring shame on Christ's name through public disputes.

One day, you will see Jesus face to face, and you will be like Him—perfectly holy, completely transformed. Until that day, you're progressively becoming more like Him. Let your family relationships reflect this reality. Choose forgiveness over revenge, reconciliation over being right, and love over winning. This is what it means to live as the family of God. Your reputation as His child depends on it.
